What is intuition? Gut instinct? Premonition? Spidey sense? Whatever it is, I’m betting we have all experienced it. A popular intuitive hit is that feeling that you would receive a phone call from someone in particular, only to have the phone ring a mere second later. Nodding your head? How about when something just feels right: a job offer, a relationship, or even something seemingly insignificant like a particular food? You follow through with your feeling and it unfolds just as you sensed it would. What is this??
How about when it works in the opposite direction? You get that not-sp-good feeling about someone, or some event. You brush it off only to find that if you had followed that initial feeling you could have avoided an unsavory experience.
This is our intuition. It is our internal guidance system, directing us toward that which is in alignment with what we desire and away from that which is not. Read that sentence again. It is something that is working FOR us. If you listen, it will take you to that which you desire. The first question becomes, are you listening? The second question is, are you following?
If you are challenged with the notion of intuition, and largely base your decisions on logic and practicality, then your invitation for this week is to begin to listen for that still small voice of intuition. The one that will guide you to your joy every time. Build a relationship with it. Begin to experiment with it, trusting it to whatever degree you are comfortable with. Whenever you are faced with a small decision, say deciding on dinner for the night, take a moment to turn within, ask your intuition, and listen to what happens. You may get a picture, a feeling, or an actual instruction. Go with it. See what happens.
If you feel in touch with your intuition, then your invitation is to cultivate a deeper relationship with this voice. Begin to turn within frequently and regularly for all decisions. Once you have connected, act.
Below is a list of fun things to test your intuition on:
1.) Begin each day by asking how you can be of service to the Universe.
2.) Before eating, tap into your body and what it really wants.
3.) When getting dressed in the morning, feel if there is a particular color that really speaks to you.
4.) When driving to work, or to an errand, feel if there is another direction that wants to be taken.
5.) When conversing with a friend, or finishing up an email, pause to ask your intuition if there is anything else that needs to be said.
6.) If a friend or loved one pops into your head suddenly, give them a call, or send them an email.

Meditation: Enjoy the Silence
I’m inviting you all to take a day of silence. When we choose not to use language to communicate, energy takes on a new meaning. You will notice more, and more will notice you.
I’m particularly encouraging you to do this if you have animals or children. You will see that something magical unfolds : )
If a whole day is too much for you, then choose to be silent for an evening or two. Consciously turn off your phones and email for a specific time period. Notice what comes up; urges, thoughts, feelings. Notice with non-judgement.

Affirmative thought of the week:
The energy of life is the energy of my life. We are all connected.
